Mar 12, 2016· I just got in the Rock Crusher Recording, and my friend and I had the same realization that the lack of quality instructions was very surprising. As far as the fading out goes, I'm not sure what could be causing that, but I do see how it could be mistakenly setup backwards.
The Rivera RockCrusher Recording takes all the power-attenuating magic of the original that allows you to get that thick, crunchy tube overdrive from your amp at practice levels, and it adds an 11-band EQ and other new features to make the RockCrusher Recording a must-have piece in your arsenal.
Built of 16-gauge welded steel in purple and black, the RockCrusher commands attention. It looks tough and retro all at once with giant knobs and switches that makes the 'Crusher easy to work with and settings easy to remember. Like all things Rivera, this was clearly built with the highest-grade components and made to last a lifetime.

Jun 23, 2013· The difference is, you clearly aren't a fan of power amp distortion. Attenuators are never great at getting the volume levels right down. For sociable levels, you need a combination of attenuation, and a decent PPIMV in my opinion, and even then, it helps …

The Rivera Rock Crusher has a power handling capacity of about 120W RMS, and an impedance of 8/16 ohms. The input channelizes in the form of 1*1/4" of the amplifier; and the output is in the unit of 2*1/4" measured from the speaker output, and from the line out in 1*XLR, 1*1/4".
The Rivera RockCrusher Power Attenuator and Load Box is a supremely useful tool for anyone with an awesome tube amp in their collection. This device fits between your head and cabinet, and allows you to control output levels and attenuation to keep your amp sounding its very best at whatever volume works for your specific gig or session.
Oct 18, 2014· The Rivera RockCrusher has allowed me to enjoy these amps again at home at levels that wont disturb the neighbors! I can crank both amps up and attenuate them with the RockCrusher to a level that is almost a whisper. I can even get it so low that I can hear myself pick the strings over the actual sound coming out of the speakers.
Sep 20, 2016· The Rock Crusher is good. But yhe PS is in another league. No question. The fan is only anoying at very low late night home levels which is what many will be using it for. I myself gig regularly, but spend far more hours practicing quietly at home. What I'm looking for is practicing with the same tone and feel I get live.

Many valve guitar amps sound best turned up beyond what would be an acceptable volume for home use, so you'd think that practically every guitarist would have an attenuator in their gigbag. They've certainly become more common recently, due to the increased popularity of vintage valve equipment and modern boutique-style amplification that lacks a master volume control.Read more: Mad Professor ...

Nov 15, 2017· Enter the Rock Crusher, a reactive power attenuator from legendary amp designer Paul Rivera. The concept of an attenuator is simple: patch it between a hard-working amp and speaker to bleed off unwanted volume as heat.

Here is a quick demo of the RockCrusher. It was recorded using a Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Pro plugged straight into a Germino Club 40 head and Germino 4x12 loaded with Greenbacks.
I'm not quite sure which category to put this in, so it's here. I'm sure you all know what this is. I'm the second owner, it's in brand new condition and does exactly what it should, all working perfectly and attentuating like the total bastard that it is.
